Here's a short story about a mother:

Mary was a hardworking mother who always put her children first. She worked long hours as a nurse to provide for her family, but she never let her job get in the way of being there for her children.

Every morning, Mary would wake up early to make breakfast for her children before they went off to school. She would pack their lunches and make sure they had everything they needed for the day ahead.

When her children came home from school, Mary would listen intently as they told her about their day. She would help them with their homework and spend quality time with each of them, making sure they felt loved and supported.

One day, Mary's youngest child, Tim, fell ill. She took time off from work to take care of him, staying up with him all night and making sure he had everything he needed to get better. She never left his side, even when she was exhausted and needed rest herself.

As Tim recovered, he realized just how much his mother had done for him and his siblings over the years. He knew that she had made many sacrifices for their family, and he felt grateful for everything she had done.

From that day on, Tim made a promise to himself to always appreciate and cherish his mother. He knew that he would never be able to repay her for all the love and care she had given him, but he could show his gratitude by being there for her and making sure she knew how much she was loved.
